The application made is just a ticket that opens the door of opportunity for MCL Solutions Ltd. We have seen on our page detailing the business that they are multifaceted and willing to look at many methods of utilising an asset such as the wharf.
By allowing industry to re-establish in our village we run the risk of becoming industrialised and losing the tranquillity we have become accustomed to.
Only recently (Wednesday 29th November) further equipment was arrived at the wharf. A large rock crusher was delivered by road, completely ignoring the maximum weight limit of the high street – any local resident will know that its hard enough to pass down there in a car, nevermind when you are faced with an artic lorry!
It’s not difficult to imagine how much dust a rock crusher will create!

It’s quite obvious that a machine such as the tracked rock crusher just delivered this cannot operate indoors – without doubt it will create plumes of dust around our village.
The residents of stather road will be exposed to dangerous levels of silica – a serious issue that can lead to many major illnesses.
